#moviemonday (Black Dynamite, 2009)

‪This week's RIDDIM & GROOVE (contemporary) cinematic classic is: "Black Dynamite" (2009). This blaxploitation spoof, which is definitely done appropriately, centers around the main character of Black Dynamite, an ex-CIA agent that seeks revenge for his brothers death and thus cleans up the streets. Although actually falling under a "retro" label, "Black Dynamite" pays attention to a lot of details that coined the original blaxploitation era. From the commentary on the trailer, the entire design, the fact that is was shot on Super 16 or the great score composed by Adrian Younge; everything fits nicely together and makes "Black Dynamite" for sure worth watching.
